Our first improvisation session with Ukrainian refugee teens took place outdoors — and something quietly powerful happened.
At first, they were hesitant. Shy.
Then came movement. Laughter. Eye contact.
Not because we told them what to do, but because we gave them space to explore, express, and feel safe being themselves again.
This is the heart of what we do at Six Foundation.
We use creative, improvisation-based therapy not to perform, but to reconnect — with emotion, confidence, and identity.
We guide teens to rediscover the edges of their boundaries:
- Where they begin
- Where they’ve faded
- How to shape them into something strong and self-respecting
Why It Matters
Trauma doesn’t always speak in words.
But creativity can open doors that traditional approaches can’t.
According to research:
- Over 70% of displaced youth report symptoms of trauma, anxiety, or depression
- Arts-based therapies have been shown to reduce anxiety and depression by up to 50%
(Source: UNICEF, Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry)
For teens who have experienced war, loss, and uncertainty, this kind of healing is not a luxury — it’s a necessity.
Who We Are
Six Foundation was created by two best friends — Victoria Manoilenko and Noa Victoria Caspi — who saw a need and couldn’t stay silent.
Our first session happened thanks to:
- Sonya, the teacher who trusted us with her students
- Roksolana, the photographer who captured the movement and the magic
We believe in presence over pressure. Creativity over control. Connection over performance.
And after this session, we’re more certain than ever — this work matters.
How You Can Help
We want to do more. Reach more teens. Offer more moments of healing and transformation.
Here’s what your support can do:
- $15 covers art materials for one participant
- $50 funds a full session for a group of teens
- Any amount helps us secure space, train facilitators, and grow our impact
Your donation makes it possible for teens to feel like themselves again — even after everything. Let’s build a future where healing is creative, accessible, and real!
